Audit trail: why even views should be recorded

Knowing who changed a record is the bare minimum. In regulated environments, knowing who saw the data matters just as much.
In many systems, the "audit" boils down to a changed by field. That isn't enough when the auditor asks: who had access to this information, and when?
What a good audit trail records
- Access: sign-ins, sign-outs and failed attempts
- Views: who opened each project, ticket or report
- Changes: the value before and after
- Context: date and time, IP and browser
Immutable by default
An audit trail that can be edited proves nothing. In CicloDoc, audit records are append-only: the database itself refuses updates and deletions.
Transparency with support
When our team opens one of your tickets, that also shows up in your audit trail. You always know who accessed what — including us.
